Page 50 - You can't Make This Shit Up!

We were all walking towards the baseball fields to watch a game. We decided to cut across the track, not realizing that a race was in progress. So all these people are SCREAMING at us, and we all are just waving, thinking we are so cool. We literally missed being completely trampled by a pack of angry runners by mere seconds!
Returning to Saratoga was bittersweet. So much had changed. We drove to the high school. 30 years later the only time I got my bearings was when we stood in the quad. Other then that, the school has grown and changed so much. We visited all the houses we lived in, and drove some back mountain roads we had made so many teenage memories on.
I only lived in Saratoga for 3 years. Those are for sure 3 of the best and most memory filled years.
These girls, now women, have become my family. We were all inseparable back in those days. Then we all went off to college, and started working and started our lives.
We met up for our 10 year reunion. Then our 20th! Blink and life happens. Next year will be our
30th! We have had girls trips in New Orleans and San Diego. We have 9 kids between us. All still have our moms (thank God), buried 3 of our fathers, and 2 step dads. We have shared marriages, and divorce, and pregnancies and illness. Crazy teenagers and unruly parents! Highs and lows, good or bad, if any of us got that call in the middle of the night, we would all come running.
There really is nothing in the world like old friends. I am so rich in friendships and grateful.
