Right on the heals of doing my civil duty as Juror #3, I was RUDELY pulled over and giving a driving citation. I was so mad. It was, if I do say so, the lamest ticket. A “California stop” at a stop sign right outside of our cul-de-sac. Basically I got a ticket for goings 2mph.
The injustice!!! If you don’t live in San Diego, let me share what I have learned since living here. The drivers here are THE WORST! I have NEVER seen anything like it. In the past 18 months not once, but twice I personally have witnessed drivers on the absolute wrong side of the road! Ive seen4 accidents, and have been rear ended. Again, thats in just 18 months.
I was stopped, with his stupid sirens and lights, (seriously? major over kill Sargent)! I think I got the ticket for my eye roll more then my tires rolling...wait for it... “at least 10 inches over the stop line”. Dude. I can’t even.
My friend Kevin told me about a service that you can hire to dismiss your ticket. For a small fee ($179) they are “suppose” to take care of everything. My driving record is spotless, and who wants to deal with traffic school? So I answered a few questions online and viola...
Well, a few weeks have passed and I got an email from the ticketbusters. I figured I should look into the ticket. I called the number and my conversation with the woman on the phone clearly thought I was prank calling her. Our conversation went as follows...
Me: Hi, can I give you my citation number so I can make sure that my ticket has been dismissed? Woman: Um, did you go to your court appearance?
Me: NO! Why would I hire you to make it go away, and then go to court? Thats silly.
Woman: Um, did you read your actual citation?
Me: NO! Why would I read the citation? I hired your to make it go away! Woman: Did you download the forms?
Me: No! Isn’t that what I paid you to do?
Woman: Um, am I being punked? Who is this?
Me: You are actually talking to an idiot who paid you $179 for nothing.
